Championships shift to December 4-15 at Khalifa International Bowling Center in Abu Dhabi, UAE

2011WTBALogo.jpgThe World Tenpin Bowling Association has announced that the sport’s governing body has to change the dates again for the 2014 Men’s World Championships in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

As the Formula 1 race in Abu Dhabi (November 21-23) moved close to the planned dates of the MWC, which were recently scheduled for November 8-19, the championships are now supposed to be held from December 4-15 at Khalifa International Bowling Center in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi, the host center of the 1999 World Championships.

Several World Bowling Tour events in the Middle East are affected by the date change and will reorganized accordingly. Those events are the Qatar Open, the 8th Kingdom International Open in Saudi Arabia and 2nd Abu Dhabi WBT.

The organizers of the It’s Daejeon International Open Bowling Tournament in Daejeon, South Korea, have already confirmed a date change from July 6-19 to November 9-22.

The WTBA also announced that the second World Singles Championships in Doha, Qatar, will be held from December 4-11, 2016.
